UP NEET PG 2024 Counselling: NEET PG Updates, Eligibility & More

The UP PG medical and dental admissions process is managed online on the official website of the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh. For admission to the UP NEET PG programme in 2024, applicants will have to register on the website and submit an application. On upneet.gov.in, candidates can register for UP NEET PG Counselling 2024. Based on the information provided on the application form, a merit list will be released. Candidates on the merit list will be eligible for admission to the UP PG medical programme. To participate in the seat allocation process, choices must be filled out and locked in within the deadline.

For 50% of the state quota seats in government medical/dental colleges and seats available in private colleges, UP NEET PG counselling is done. Three rounds of UP NEET PG counselling, including a mop-up round will be held in 2024. The mop-up round of UP NEET PG 2024 counselling will be used to fill any seats that remain vacant after the second round. .

UP NEET PG Counselling 2024: Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have completed MBBS  from an accredited medical institution in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
• Candidates who reside in Uttar Pradesh and hold an MBBS degree from an institution outside of the state can also apply for UP NEET PG counselling for 15% of AIQ seats.
• To be admitted to government, state, private or deemed universities, a candidate must have graduated from an MBBS programme in Uttar Pradesh.
• Only seats in private universities are open to applicants who did not complete their MBBS degree in Uttar Pradesh and are not residents of this state.
• The required rotatory internship had to be finished by the deadline by the candidate by the specified date.
• The candidate must have passed the NEET PG 2024 exam.

UP NEET PG 2024 Counselling: Important Dates

UP NEET PG Counselling 2024

The UP NEET PG counselling will be done online by DMET in Uttar Pradesh. The UP PG counselling process will be conducted by the counselling committee in three rounds which include a mop-up round. Candidates will be eligible for UP NEET PG counselling if they are listed in the state merit list.

Aspirants will have to choose their choices for colleges and courses using the login credentials given at registration time. Candidates are free to enter as many preferences as they like. Aspirants will be admitted to UP NEET PG based on their choices, NEET PG rank, seat availability, reservation criteria and other factors. 

Documents required for UP NEET PG Admission 2024

• NEET PG admit card

• High school certificate as proof of DOB
• All MBBS marksheets
• MBBS degree or pass certificate
• Scorecard of NEET PG result
• Required rotatory internship completion certificate
• Registration certificate from MCI/State Medical Council
• Relieving certificate (if an employee)
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Disability certificate (if applicable)
• Printout of the allocation letter that was downloaded
• Proof of online registration 

Candidates who get a seat in the UP NEET PG counselling process will have to pay the course fee to secure their admission. The candidate will not be able to download the allotment letter until the course fees have been paid. UP NEET PG Admission 2024 will be based on the counselling process only. The only way to get admission to Postgraduate Medical courses is to go through the counselling process conducted by the authority.
