Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2024: Counselling Schedule, Process, Eligibility, Documents and More
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) conducts Karnataka NEET PG counselling on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates are eligible for the KEA NEET PG counselling if they have passed the PGNEET and NEET MDS exams. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list for NEET PG counselling will be eligible to take part in the Karnataka NEET PG 2024 counselling after the deadline for registration is over. Karnataka NEET counselling will consist of two main rounds. If any seats remain vacant after the second round, the mop-up round for Karnataka NEET counselling will be held. It is important for applicants to be aware that there will be no separate exam for admission to the medical institutions within the state of Karnataka.
Counselling will be offered for admission to 50% state-quota and 100% private colleges. A merit list will be published on the official website according to registration, NEET PG rank, state of domicile, reservation, and other factors. In order to participate in the KEA Karnataka NEET PG counselling 2024, candidates on the merit list have to choose the courses and colleges they are interested in enrolling in. The seat allocation for the Karnataka NEET counselling will be prepared by the authorities based on the NEET PG score/NEET MDS score, choices made, seat matrix, reservation criteria and other variables.

Process of Karnataka NEET PG Counselling 2024
- Registration: Candidates who have qualified for the NEET PG exam need to register for counselling on the official Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) website.
- Choice Filling: After successful registration, candidates need to log in and provide their preferences for the medical colleges and specialities where they wish to pursue their postgraduate studies. It's important to carefully prioritize and select the options.
- Publication of Mock Allotment Results: KEA usually releases a mock allotment result based on the choices filled by candidates. This helps candidates get an idea of what their potential seat allocation could be.
- Option Changes: Candidates have a window to modify their choices based on the mock allotment results and make any necessary changes to their preference list.
- Final Seat Allotment: After the option change period, the final seat allotment list is published based on the candidate's choices, NEET PG rank and availability of seats.
- Payment of Fees: Candidates who are allotted seats need to pay the tuition fee within the stipulated time to confirm their admission.
- Reporting to College: Once the fee payment is done, candidates need to physically report to the allotted college within the specified dates. All necessary documentation for verification must be carried by them.
