Stages of NEET PG Counselling
- Online Registration: Candidates who qualify for the NEET PG examination must register for counselling on the designated official website. Candidates provide their personal information, NEET PG scores, and other necessary information during registration.
- Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates have to fill out their preferred institutions and specialisations after completing their registration successfully. It's essential to prioritize choices based on individual preferences. Once the choices are filled, candidates must lock them before the deadline.
- Seat Allotment: The next step involves the allocation of seats based on the candidate's NEET PG rank, choices, and availability of seats in various colleges. It is a digital process only which doesn’t involve any human interference.
- Seat Acceptance: Once a seat is allocated, candidates have to either accept the allotted seat, choose to participate in further rounds of counselling, or opt to leave the seat.
- Document Verification and Admission: Candidates who accept the allotted seat need to report to the designated institute for document verification and completion of the admission process. They need to provide the necessary documents to prove their eligibility, academic qualifications and other relevant details.
- Second and Mop-Up Rounds: In case of vacant seats after the initial rounds of counselling, subsequent rounds are conducted to fill the remaining seats. This provides another opportunity for candidates who missed the initial rounds or want to upgrade their choices.
